The first live reading of my new work, “Crosswise Dance for Low Clarinet Choir,” went off successfully this past Sunday, July 13th, 2025, at ClarinetFest 2025 in Fort Worth, TX. The tempo of the reading was, by necessity, kept a bit slow since the parts were a bit tricky for what was in essence a sight-reading session. If you want to get a better idea of what the song sounds like at full tempo, try setting the YouTube playback speed to either 1.25 or 1.5 times normal speed and see what happens.
