I hadn’t planned to do it, but I did it anyway. I entered my sci-fi novel into #PitMad.
Go here if you have no idea what I’m talking about. Put briefly, #PitMad is a Twitter event where you try to catch the eye of a prospective agent or editor, using a tweet to sell your work. If someone “favorites” (now “likes”) your tweet, you get to send your novel materials in for a look-see.
I’m not sure my materials are 100% ready for an agent, but there’s no obligation to send anything if you get liked. As of approximately 2:00 p.m. CST today, no one has liked my first pitch. I get two more tries, but I’m not sure if I’ll use them. Either way, I gave it a shot.
Let’s see what happens.
