It’s been a while, but I’m now back onto writing book two of my science fiction series! I’ve got to consult with my brother-in-law about the area around Xalapa, Mexico before I can move past the current plot point. In any case, I’m into Chapter Six with more than 11,500 words written so far. If I’m thrifty with my words, that means I’ve passed the 20 percent mark.
I can’t wait to put my main character through the wringer again. (Shoot, I almost killed him and a couple of his friends in Chapter Five!)
I only have a couple of weeks to work on this. I’ll have to switch gears after that and work on something else. Sorry, can’t say more about it right now, but I’m looking forward to it.
One last thing: if you’ll scroll down and watch the left-hand column, you’ll see a website badge. It’s for Scribophile, a community where writers try and help each other learn the craft, polish their work, and (hopefully) eventually get published. I can’t recommend the place enough. Please click on it and sign up (it’s free)—you’ll see some genuine diamonds in the rough, including a certain sci-fi book that I keep writing about. 🙂
