You’ve got to start somewhere, right? For me, this is somewhere. Welcome to it!
Yes, this is mainly a blog about writing words. Novels, mainly. I do stuff other than writing words, though. I also write music. You may have heard some of it—I hope you have, anyway. If not, I’ll give you a few links to follow where you can listen to it. I hope you’ll enjoy them.
I also enjoy a few sports. Open-wheel racing (IndyCar, Formula One, and the like), endurance racing (Le Mans / Daytona prototype and GT classes), and just about any sport related to the University of Texas at Austin (mainly football, basketball, and baseball, though). I may drop a reference to one of these in between the posts about writing words and writing music. I hope you’ll enjoy them as well.
Now, those who know me might be wondering something. “What’s with the ‘D’ here? I thought you were just Lee Jackson.” Well, it’s a long story, but to make it as short as I can, ‘D’ is my first initial. I haven’t used my first name for anything but official documents since fifth grade.
That has to change now.
You see, there are other writers of words out there with the name “Lee Jackson.” They got here first, so they’ve got dibs. However, I haven’t found one yet that goes by “D. Lee Jackson,” so I’m calling dibs on that combination.
That may change again, if someone publishes with that name before I do.
Regardless, the address to this blog will probably stay the same (http://dleejackson.lbjackson.com). I got that combination first, so I can definitely call dibs on it without worry.
So, to wrap up my “here we go” post, I want to thank you for stopping by, and thank Joe Siegler for helping me set things up! I hope you’ll subscribe so you can see what other fun may go on here. Just use the handy “subscribe” thingy on this page. I promise to try and keep from filling your inbox with mindless drek.
Much obliged!
